Обязанности

Purpose of the Position:

Provide necessary product and applications engineering support to Cornings direct customers and end users.

Provide technical interface between Corning and customers.

Assist in promoting and supporting fiber sales.

Technical support for Sales and Marketing Department.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

Interface with Corning customers.

Provide technical support to cable customers and end users.

Respond to customers and/or end users about fiber requirements and specification.

Assess product applications vs. customer requirements.

Resolve technical disputes.

Provide customer education on the handling and deployment on fiber.

Provide necessary trouble shooting expertise for factory and field problems.

Prepare and present technical tutorials on optical fiber and optical fiber systems.

Interface to relevant research facilities.

Prepare and participate in technical seminars on optical fiber and optical fiber systems.

Manage technical specifications of optical fibers and other required processes.

Prepare and submit weekly application engineering reports. [#3286884#]

Требования

Requirements:

- Min Masters Degree in Physics, Optics or Electrical Engineering

- Intermediate English level

- 3+ years of relevant work experience.

Required Skills:

- Familiarity with tests methods and measurements of optical fiber

- Strong communication and presentation skills;

- Intermediate English level;

- Ability to work with multiple teams across organizational and regional boundaries;

- Planning and time management skills; ability to work simultaneously on multiple projects;

- Flexibility to adjust work schedule to accommodate urgent business requests;

- Self-motivated, interested in long term technical growth.

Desired Skills:

- Ability to perform fiber and cable field and factory tests and conduct statistical analyses;

- Designing and setting up lab experiments

- Programming experience in network modelling, design, calculations, etc. to find the optimal solutions and fiber specifications.

- Understanding of optical cable manufacturing process and materials.
