IKEA as a company has the responsibility to always provide safe environment for the co-workers and protect IKEA’s property. As a Security manager you are expected to contribute to further development of proper security programs in the DC and increasing everybody’s safety awareness. Tasks and responsibilities: • implement and maintain IKEA corporate fire safety & security standards, rules and guidelines as well as the requirements of local legislation in terms of fire safety and civil defence; • organize and supervise the proper work of the contracted Guard Company; • monitor incidents/accidents, any emergencies occurred in the DC and provide rapid response when it may have negative influence onto IKEA business as well as propose proper ways to avoid similar cases in the future; provide regular reports to the Risk Office Russia and DC management; • develop and implement internal fire safety and security routines/procedures/ instructions and maintain them up to date; • follow up Russian legislation in terms of fire safety and security issues; • run fire safety & security trainings required by Group Risk Manual and Russian low; • define DC fire safety and security targets related to annual action planning, conduct forecast and cost follow up by assessing current conditions on site and future DC needs; • communicate DC safety status to DC managers, team leaders and co-workers through safety committee, regular Common Staff meetings, work observation on site etc.; • conduct regular internal fire safety and security audits as required by the Group Risk Manual, control fire-fighting equipment and security systems maintenance and testing, run evacuation exercises; • develop and secure that loss prevention programs are maintained in the DC; • conduct internal investigations according to the requests of the DC Management or IKEA Risk Office. |
